Trump has just released his major statement on Ukraine—a move that’s been anticipated all week. He’s increasingly frustrated with Vladimir Putin, who has continued bombing Ukraine even minutes after their calls. This marks an interesting turning point for negotiations between Ukraine, Russia, and the US.

Trump says he wants to provide 17 Patriot systems and billions of dollars’ worth of missiles and weapons to NATO so NATO members can send Ukraine their older stock.

This is just my immediate reaction to the news. Tomorrow I’m going to speak with an expert to really break this down, and I’ll be looking at Putin’s reaction, Russia’s response, and Zelensky’s reaction for my next report.

This is an experimental format—if you liked it or have suggestions for improvement, please let me know in the comments. Thank you!
